Entry from: Juayua, El Salvador Entry Title: "Flower Power" Entry: "The first noticeable thing that really made a difference once we crossed the border where the bus rides. No maniac bus drivers, actually kind of slow and no more seat sharing with others of what is only meant for 2 people in the first place. The people we had on the buses were very curious and super friendly. We always had a group around us, asking us a bunch of things wanting to be involved in the conversation as much as possible. On this one ride we had a kid sitting next to us, more a teenager, but a kid, anyways, he started petting Jason's surf bag and asking if a board was inside. I was pretty suspicious, but turns out David loves surfing just doesn't get too much of a chance to go to the coast. He was so nice talking about his family when he pulls out a braded band of what could be a bracelet telling us that his friend makes these and he wants us to have it as a memory of an El Salvadorian. We put it on our key chain right away, it was such a nice gesture. We were headed to Ruta de las Flores which sounds so nice, it has to be nice. We chose to stay in the little village called Juayua and decided to splurge with our hotel which was totally worth it. The hotel Anahuac has individual decorated rooms, amazing art, very cozy but ...
